Removing the External Fuel Tank

Modified on Tue, 14 Jun 2022 at 01:50 PM

By default, the Slipper tank (as it's called), is not attached to your Spitfire. However it will appear when you add fuel to it using the MSFS Toolbar Fuel app or the Loadout page in the Tablet ("long range").

It's nice to have all that extra range but, it's heavy when full and it drags a lot (costs you about 50mph down from your top speed).

To remove it, you can:

1) When static on the ground, simply select Short or Medium range on the Tablet's Loadout page.

2) When static on the ground, use the MSFS Toolbar Fuel app and set the External Fuel Tank to 0

3) When flying, pull the Jettison External Fuel Tank lever
